As President and CEO of Sapientia One Global Solutions and Founder of A. B. Harvey-Smith Educational Consulting, Dr. Harvey-Smith has led groundbreaking initiatives that empower organizations to navigate complex challenges with precision and agility. Her distinguished service as a college president and executive vice chancellor for more than 15 years underscores her ability to lead dynamic institutions while driving meaningful, sustainable change.
A recognized thought leader in student success and the learning college movement, she pioneered The Seventh Learning College Principle, a transformational change model that fosters open, responsive cultures essential for growth and innovation. Major Donald W. Smith is a highly accomplished military officer and law enforcement professional whose career exemplifies unwavering dedication to public service. Retiring from the U.S. Army at the rank of Major, he amassed extensive leadership experience as an Infantry Company Commander, Battalion Intelligence Officer, and Executive Officer of a front-line tank company. With over 20 years of distinguished service as a Federal Police Officer with the U.S. Capitol Police, Major Smith played a pivotal role in safeguarding Presidents, Members of Congress, Heads of State, Supreme Court Justices, and countless visitors to one of the nation’s most critical institutions.
His expertise extends to terrorism counter-surveillance, crisis prevention, and firearms training, making him a trusted authority in security operations. A recognized expert in conflict resolution and emergency response, he has held key positions within law enforcement, including serving as a New Hampshire Court Security Officer, Sullivan County Sheriff, and Maryland Correctional Officer.
Beyond his tenure in uniform, Major Smith continues to make an impact as the co-founder and Chief Logistics and Operations Officer of Sapientia One Global Solutions, where his strategic vision drives operational excellence. Kathleen Odell-Carlson
Administrative Coordinator Corporate Training
Kathleen (Kathy) Odell-Carlson, M.S., B.S., ADT, is the Administrative Coordinator for Corporate Training and Planning at AB Harvey-Smith Educational Consulting. A veteran student affairs practitioner for twenty-five (25) years in various leadership positions, along with front-line student-centered positions, early in her higher education career. Mrs. Odell-Carlson has served in a variety of mid-level administrative positions in higher education, including Associate Vice President of Student Affairs, Coordinator of Evening & Weekend Student Service Center and Coordinator of Student Judicial Affairs. Prior to joining AB Harvey-Smith Educational Consulting, Kathy was the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs/Certified Title IX Coordinator/Certified BIT Administrator at River Valley Community College in Claremont, New Hampshire.
Mrs. Odell-Carlson earned her Masters of Science in Organizational Development from the University of Baltimore, her Bachelors of Science in Human Resources from University of Baltimore, in addition to an Associates in Science in Business Administration from Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold, Maryland. She also holds a Title IX certification from ATIXA, along with a BIT Administrator certification from NaBita. Kathy has conducted “train the trainer” workshops on Title IX, BIT and Student Code of Conduct related topics at various east coast colleges. In addition to working at ABHarvey-Smith Educational Consulting, she is currently a substance use counselor at Evolve Life Centers in Pasadena, Maryland.
Mrs. Odell-Carlson currently lives 7 miles from where she grew up in central Maryland, on a 5 acre farm in Severn, Maryland. She loves spending time hiking, gardening, traveling and spending time with family/close friends.
Deanna (Dee) Lilly
Website Design / Management Graphic Design
Deanna Lilly started out as a commercial illustrator, but her curiosity about computers kept a close second. She designed a billboard for a commercial winery in Washington State, has done magazine ad copy, commercial label designs, business card and logo designs, as well as tee-shirt and Christmas ornament artwork.
She worked at Cal-Tech’s Thin-Section Laboratory and helped make the slides from the first moon rocks. She has worked at NASA in Pasadena, CA on the Mariner 79 Project, done skip-tracing for a lawyer in Houston, TX, helped develop a School to Work program at Frank Phillips JC in Borger, TX, as well as computer training at Baltimore County. Ms. Lilly has also created classes on Writing for the Web and written 100’s of manuals for software instruction.
It took a while, but she’s finally combined both her left- and right-brained loves and now does graphic design and website design and management. Deanna fully believes that service is the most important thing she can offer her clients.
Carlos Muhammad
Communications and Engagement
Carlos Muhammad has been instrumental in implementing innovative programs that address the unique challenges faced by students and their families. His commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment has led to the development of mentorship initiatives, after-school programs, and workshops that empower youth to take charge of their futures.
Carlos’s passion for education and social justice extends beyond his direct work with students. He frequently speaks at conferences and community gatherings, sharing his insights on the importance of education equity and the power of self-love in personal development. His engaging presentations inspire audiences to take action and become advocates for change within their own communities.
In addition to his work in schools, Carlos continues to write and publish, using his platform to address critical issues affecting marginalized communities. His poetry and prose reflect his deep understanding of the struggles many face and serve as a source of encouragement and hope for those seeking to overcome adversity.
As Carlos looks to the future, he remains dedicated to expanding the reach of the Luv4self Network, a forum he created aiming to create more opportunities for young people to thrive academically and personally. Through collaboration and innovation, Carlos Muhammad is committed to leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those he serves, proving that with love for oneself and a strong community, anything is possible.
Dr Vincent Mumford

Dr. Mumford is a keynote speaker, successful author, and high performance business coach. A former college coach and athletic director, he is a current university professor.
Dr. Mumford earned a doctorate degree from the University of Delaware in Educational Leadership, with a specialization in Administration and Policy. He taught leadership for the Disney Institute at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He was recognized by The American Red Cross as a Michigan Hero and the United Nations for his humanitarian efforts.
Dr. Mumford has received many honors and awards including United States Marine Corps Commander’s Award, Holmes Scholar, Volunteers are Central Award, Outstanding Mentor of the Year, and the Michigan Campus Compact Community Service Learning Award. Dr. Mumford was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame at Indian River High School (DE).
He is an expert on leadership and service-learning. He has been appointed to numerous committees and advisory boards, including Athletic Management, the YMCA, and the National Football League (NFL). He is frequently called upon to consult or speak on various subjects such as: leadership, change, marketing, fundraising, and strategic planning.

Jordyn Gilliard is a graduate of Chatham University, where they earned a BA in Communications, and Carnegie Mellon University, where they completed an MS in International Relations & Politics. Prior to her current position in local politics, Jordyn worked as a paralegal for one of the country’s top law firms. Jordyn is deeply passionate about freelance journalism, with a focus on political reporting. Her work has covered a range of topics, including healthcare, politics, and entertainment. Through her writing, Jordyn aims to provide insightful perspectives on important issues shaping our world.
Quinntarra Morant
Legal Advisor
Quinntarra Morant earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Duquesne University; and subsequently, she earned her Juris Doctorate from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law. Her educational background coupled with her real-life experiences has provided her with several skills and areas of expertise. In particular, she has over ten years’ experience in educating clients on various tax, and Estate matters.
Additionally, she has expertise in Landlord Tenant matters, small business formation, and Quiet Title actions. In her career, she served successfully as a liaison between the Internal Revenue Service and low-income taxpayers. Furthermore, she worked with the Department of Treasury, where she proved to be a strong communicator, which provided her with the ability to evaluate client situations and communicate effectively. During her experience, she has presented on various estate & small business topics and welcomes the opportunity to speak to additional groups in the region.
Because of her dedication to forging lasting relationships with her clients, her mission is to provide an educational foundation for each client and implement a legacy that brings peace and solutions for generations to come. Ms. Morant also has a strong commitment to her community and demonstrates this through her various volunteering activities.
Ms. Morant served as the Chair for Homer S. Brown Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association and served on the Council for the Women in Law Division. She has also received the National Black Lawyers top 40 under 40, Pittsburgh’s 50 finest and the Pittsburgh Magazine 40 under 40.
